Bangalore fashion show - Independence day spl

its been a while huh! ya i was there at Lalbargh this month to witness the Flower show put up

towards the Independence day. I have been there during the Republic day times as well. I feel this one was not as good as the january one. Though managed some nice shots...here you go...

Gangai Amman fest Keelalathur near Vellore TN, my mom’s home town. I have been seeing this fest since my childhood and one of best fest in my life.
Trying to capture the whole village is celebrating and enjoying the procession but the Calmness in Her face isolates her from the celebration.

Just for a info : Villagers Paint the statue once in a year before fest and the person who paintz statue is a village lorry driver and the statue age is 80 yrs.

Activity 000100002 - Branding exercise - deadline 20th july

Greetings

As per our discussions earlier, we will do an extensive(kind of...:-)) branding exercise for Xpozd...the following are the required items...
"Logo, slogan, and design elements associated to it like color codes etc"
the logo wat we see in the blog is only a tentative...for the time sake stuff ...we have to do a better one...i am attaching the mission statement of Xpozd...lemme knw if there is any change...it is also in its own evolving stage(inputs are welcome!!!)...but we can keep this as a basis for our branding work...

let this be a competition...there was a gud response for the naming event...so let this be a similar one...with lots of enthusiasm...:-)
Submission : keep posting things in the blog...hence somebody can comment and hence ur concept can evolve r u can send it by mail as well...
We try to get this done on r before july 20th so tat we can present this in the DGM on 28th(i guess this is the date)

ACTIVITY 00100001 - How we got this name...

Greetings

We are taking some time to create an identity to the club. As a first step, we have worked on naming the club. Every member of the group was asked to suggest names. Amazingly, We had received 61 unique names. Then it was a tough task to choose one. Shaun came up with an arithmetic to solve the task. we rolled out a voting method. It did work. Thats how we have this new name now "Xpozd"

It is worth putting few words on the type of names we had received. There are unique ones, like this one "chaya" very indian and really relates to experience of colors and expressions. There are few familiar ones atleast when we think in the context of photography like FOTO, images, Colors, Click, Mind's eye, Shutterspace. In the end it was Xpozd took most of the votes.

I liked it ...it is little mischievious...little creative...and relates to photography. So ya everyone is happy about it.(is there anyone hurt???? hi hi...cant help it...)
